About Me

Hi, I’m Matthew McCalla. I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, and currently live in upstate New York. I hold an associate degree in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University, earned in May 2025.

I’ve always had a passion for technology and enjoy solving problems and learning how systems work. I have programming experience in both Java and Python, along with a solid foundation in general IT concepts.

I earned my FSNA (Foundational Security Networking Associate) certification through NGT Academy, a veteran-founded tech training platform that prepares students for real-world careers in IT and cybersecurity. I’m continuing my education with NGT Academy as I pursue additional certifications, including CompTIA Network+ and Cisco CCNA.

My goal is to become a Cybersecurity Analyst, where I can apply my skills to help protect systems, data, and people from evolving digital threats.
